Post Drilling Capabilities:
For Blair Corporation to drill the holes in your posts, we need to have the individual posts delivered to our shop precut to length. We cannot run the posts through our machine if they have already been welded together to make the rail. We will also need detailed drawings of the posts to show the hole spacing, hole size, and the slope of the holes if at an angle. We can provide sample drawings at your request.
The max length of post we can drill is 10 feet as long as the last hole is more than 3″ from the bottom of the post. We cannot perform mill work or make slotted holes with our machine.
We can drill up to 1-1/4″ diameter holes and can drill and tap holes up to 9/16-18″ depending on the wall thickness of the post.
The maximum post sizes are listed below:
- Square Tube: Up to 3” max
- Rectangle Tube: Up to 3” max
- Pipe Railing: Up to 2-1/2” max
- Angle Iron: Up to 3” x 3” max
- Flat Bar: Up to 3” x 3” max
